A True Hat Story

So I’m in Detroit Metro in line, folks edging closer to the gate hoping they’ll score an early board and have room for their three carry ons. It’s supposed to be just one and one “personal item” to stow “under” the seat, but everybody else is taking more, why not me? The gate guy picks up the microphone—the crowds shifts its collective weight forward—it’s about to begin!—and he says, “All those with a really cool hat can now board.”

Which I did.

Moral: Dressing well has its rewards.
