Women Find A Solution To “Climate Change” Anxiety

Women Find A Solution To “Climate Change” Anxiety

How about this breathless article title from JAMA (thanks to Stephen Shipman): “Medical Schools Are Updating Their Curricula as Climate Change Becomes Impossible to Ignore“.

“Climate change” is indeed impossible to ignore. Not changes in the climate, which are easy to miss, mostly because nobody can really see them, and the ones that can be seen aren’t that interesting. But “climate change” is right there on every propagandist’s lips every day. You couldn’t avoid “climate change” if you tried.

Still, it’s hard to see why medical schools would install “climate change” propaganda as a mandatory part of the curriculum. Don’t they already have enough bones and names of lucrative pills to memorize? What part of “climate change” is medical? Can you catch “climate change”? Maybe some develop a tic, treatable, one hopes, when a politician trying to sell “solutions” mentions “climate change”? Ask your doctor if “climate change” is right for you?

Third sentence in this erstwhile medical journal’s article on “climate change” begins, “George Floyd’s death at the hands of police officers…” Dude, even I know this isn’t “climate change”. Or is it? Must be, because they go on, “Suddenly…Zoom rooms were buzzing with conversations about social justice and health disparities.” Those must have been rousing discussions. “Saint Floyd died of metastatic ‘climate change’!”

By the time of Floyd’s deification, continues some female named Kline, who shows no evidence of having any training in the physics of fluid flow on a differentially heated rotating sphere, “it felt like climate change was already becoming inexorable”. If it’s inexorable, lady, then you don’t have to worry about stopping it. You can’t. You’ll soon be joining Floyd in the great Medical School In The Sky. “Climate change” is gonna getcha. It’s going to get all of us. Inexorably.

Maybe all this is medical after all (thanks to Tom Horrell for the tip). Take this headline: “Rising temps, rising anxiety: Climate change creates emerging mental health challenge“.

“Climate change” propaganda is having a terrible toll on the “mental health” of the nervous. Climate anxiety! It has struck down many already. See if your eyes don’t fill with salt water after reading this:

It hit Olivia Collins not long ago, The wave of worry surprised her since she’s immersed in the subject from working at Miami’s CLEO institute, which is dedicated to climate education and advocacy. The unsettling feeling suddenly washed over her after she read “The Light Pirate,” a novel set in near-future Florida about a child born out of a devastating hurricane who has to navigate a world undergoing frightening change.

The wave of worry that she professionally and dedicatedly for a long time concentrates her every waking hour on educating and advocating for surprised her.

I mean, how could she have seen it coming?

Let’s see what Experts have to say about climate anxiety. “Experts,” the article continues, “at Yale University,” and therefore the best kind of Experts, “define it this way: distress about climate change and its impacts on the landscape and human existence.” Impacts on human existence are one thing, but on the landscape, too!

[Climate anxiety] can manifest as intrusive thoughts or troubled feelings about the future of the world. Also called “eco-anxiety,” it can take the form of “eco-guilt,” a feeling of not doing enough personally, or even “eco-rage,” an elevated anger that everybody else isn’t doing enough to deal with looming threats.”

George Floyd choked to death on eco-rage?

Don’t scoff, because do you know what researchers have found? I’ll tell you what researchers have found. “Worries about what rising temperatures and seas will do to the world are increasingly common, researchers have found”. Amazing what researchers can found when they research, ain’t it.

Now it’s obvious that climate anxiety inexorably leads to climate grief. And once you catch that, well, there’s not much you can do. Except, says NPR, turn to a “new kind of chaplain”. One that specializes in the kind of witchcraft that dispels (good pun!) climate grief. Here are the thoughts of one of the witches:

“I just thought how on Earth are we ever going to get this problem solved if we can’t even talk about it and get good information from the newspapers that we think are the guardians of truth?” she said. “And then I just thought, ‘Wow, I am fried.’”

One toke over the line, my dear.

I know I’m over the word limit, my friends, but I had to bring you this description of the coven’s activities:

On a chilly morning in January, Sustaining Climate Activists gathered in a library conference room.

“Just breathe normally,” the group’s co-facilitator, the Rev. Liz Olson, a certified hospital chaplain, said in a soothing yet commanding voice to the dozen people sitting with her.

“You can use this breathing any time you are panicking or worrying, knowing that we have this symbiotic relationship with the plants and the trees, and that as you are exhaling they are inhaling, and as you are inhaling, they are exhaling. We are always connected to the plants and the trees.”

A few seats to Olson’s right, Ware held her head erect and eyes closed.

Over the next 90 minutes, Olson guided the group as they shared whatever was troubling them. The ensuing conversation, which was confidential, included discussion of current events, personal health issues and relationships with family and friends.

Participants sipped coffee, nibbled homemade oatmeal raisin cookies, passed around a box of Kleenex and examined a color wheel with the names of hues replaced by emotions — fear, anger, loneliness and anxiety.

It was that point, I suspect, they tuned into NPR and lets the (radio) waves wash over them.

Thank you for adding a bit of levity to my morning coffee. it is a shame that those who need to read such as this and finally see the folly of listening to the news/story media will never understand your writings due to their inability to reason things on their own.

    Mike A,

    Ha!

  3. Wow! That witch is gorgeous! If she’s hunting souls, please give her my phone number.

Oh, and climate change anxiety? It’s a real mental disease and so of interest to medical schools. Besides, tulips did make some people rich.

Heartbreaking that climate change is inflicting such distress on these otherwise perfectly well-adjusted people.

“You can use this breathing any time you are panicking or worrying…”

This breathing? What’s “this breathing?” *backs up a sentence* … “breathe normally” … So … I can just keep breathing like I normally do any time I am panicking or worrying? Good to know. Thank god for experts.

If she were smart, she would use this climate-induced anxiety and depression as a claim for worker’s comp. 70% of your salary un-taxed. I bet that would help alleviate the symptoms.

And who, pray tell, created this hysterical Climate Change terror in the 1st place?

We have to double-mask. Double-masking makes everything safe.

Medical doctors need medical solutions, i.e. medicines and sometimes surgery. Perhaps we’ll see a new drug that opens up your sweat glands when heat waves are forecast: “Perspimaxitol. Or hear of new parts to chop out, or add, like gills. We’ll have to make room for trans-lizard-uals, a newly oppressed minority. The sky is the limit when you’ve undergone a group ethics-ectomy.

Must be all about controlling the people in incremental steps, for that which is coming … the One World Government.

I just got back from the theater after seeing Matt Walsh’s delightful ‘Am I racist?’ documentary.

Climate Grief and hersteria is the same grift as the DIE thingy.

It’s all about ‘THE WORK’! The WORK of getting whitey to conform and go woke! But not broke! Not us! That’s only for the corporate shareholders to worry about!

Somebody needs to be paid to come into the office of the scientists and the universities, and the plumbers and the Club DeeJays to explain all the invisible climate sins and inherent racism they are failing to notice.

Briggs, it’s time to give up. Pack it in. Zip it up.

How about you and I convert and go into a DEI/Climate business and make a lucrative living siphoning money form stupid liberal white women while being wined and dined for $10,000 or more an hour?

We could also be on the television! Fame! Fortune! Loose Women! Everlasting Hellfire! These could all be ours!

We’ll call our outfit… OPUS DIE.

Funny stuff, Briggs. People seem to like fear and anxiety. It’s an easy sell. Must be a type of sin, such as lying, cheating, stealing, pride, drunkenness, lechery, et cetera — indulging anxiety and pigging out on fear. Jesus always banging on with “fear not!”. Good advice. Sometimes not so easy to follow. But one can try. Showing the humor in fearsome nonsense is one good way.

How DARE you?! I can’t believe you would write disparagingly about Saint George Floyd! His death is perhaps not the first, but is certainly one of the most obvious deaths due to Climate Change! “I can’t breeve!” And why can’t he breeve? Too much CO2!!

On a more serious note, I assume that at least 99% (OK, maybe only 98.51057%) of the people reading this understand that Global Warming, aka Climate Change, aka (my favorite because most specific) Catastrophic Anthropogenic Global Warming, is a pure scam with no substantive evidence to support it. That said, here is a wonderful little chart produced by Tony Heller.
    https://web.archive.org/web/20230115002156/https://realclimatescience.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/USHCN-Average-Temperature-Adjustments-Final-Minus-Raw-vs.-Atmospheric-CO2-1.png
What does it show? The USHCN is a subset of the US weather reporting stations. In fact is a specific subset chosen because it is made of the very best, longest-in-place, fewest-reporting-gaps, stations in the country. One would expect that the very best stations would need few adjustments in reported measurements, that those adjustments that did take place would be documented with reasonable justifications, and that long term those adjustments might be somewhat randomly distributed in time and values. Alas… What Heller found was that these VERY BEST stations in the country have a pronounced pattern of changes. The older temperature measurements, made back when CO2 was close to 300 were not just wrong, they were wrong by a full degree, and wrong en masse! Luckily someone figured this out a few decades back and was able to “adjust” the readings from a century ago. But thermometers got better, and for a while they were, on average, pretty close to correct for a decade or two, but now they have all gone pear shaped again and must be “adjusted” the other way. In fact, these adjustments continue to take place, bit by bit, incrementally cooling the past and warming the present, never with any publicly disclosed justification. Thankfully, these adjustments allow us to now see that there is a severe WARMING trend that never showed up in the actual measurements. Hooray for Science!

PS: Some of you may have seen this chart before. I have certainly posted it in various places over the years. What I have NOT ever seen is any response to it from CAGW believers. No response at all, not even an idiotic response.

Love what you wrote, Hagfish Bagpipe!! Jesus always says ” Have no fear … Fear is not of God.” Had an occasion the other day … felt concern and then a smidgen of fear attempting to get at me. I called on Jesus for help after a bit, then calmed down and all worked out. T’was a difference of understanding between me and the electrician’s office. (Can substitute Climate Change differences, etc., here ). They use the newfangled way of only electronic, as in emails, for receipts and I desired a paper receipt when I would hand over the $$$$ for the new HVAC system. Our son explained how they can take a picture of the check and deposit it, all in one swoop!!! And then, I keep the actual check! So, some changes are good??. And, afterall, I am just two months short of 81! God is seeing all of us through and He loves our company throughout the day.

    God bless, C-Marie

Interestingly we (all humans) exhale (breath out for witches benefit) 40,000 parts per million plant food (Co2} with every breath.
)Soo, if all members of the Gia New Religion want to save the world (as Christ did not do it right) they have an easy option – stop breathing.
BTW our Priest preached the Popes Global Warming South American Pagan Greencycical the other Sunday.
Apparently September is green pagan month.

Another witty take from Briggs on the foibles of today’s “intellectuals”—useful idiots for the Totalitarians who run the world! The comments are also part of the joy; it’s great to have such kindred spirits in one forum.
