The Week In Doom — Amazon Bans Reality-Based Books Edition

Item Tennis great Martina Navratilova apologizes for controversial remarks on ‘cheating’ trans athletes

Tennis legend Martina Navratilova apologized after she was criticized for recently saying in an oped that it would be “cheating” to allow transgender women to compete in women’s sporting events.

Navratilova wrote a column on her website weeks after the LGBTQ organization Athlete Ally announced it was severing ties with her following the comments. The nonprofit said they were also removing Navratilova as their organization’s ambassador and from their advisory board.

The Czech-born tennis star, who’s considered one of the greatest female tennis players in history, wrote that her initial comments were aimed to “encourage a more scientific, rather than emotional, conversation and to search for a solution that would work better than current arrangements.”

She tried to stick with Reality at first, but cracked under the onslaught of emotional outbursts of the pervert brigade.

She’ll now be made to pay. Before when she was holding strong, she would have been okay. Now, no.

Never apologize. Never explain.

Item Amazon Bans Tommy Robinson’s Book, ‘Mohammed’s Koran’

It’s the British government and the BBC, rather than CAIR, that are likely behind this, but Amazon has just dropped the book Mohammed’s Koran by the renowned British activist Tommy Robinson and Peter McLoughlin — and apparently only because its censors dislike Robinson. In the last two weeks, Robinson spectacularly embarrassed the BBC by exposing the bias and dishonesty of its reporter John Sweeney. The retaliation has been swift and severe: Robinson has been banned from YouTube and Facebook, and now his book has been withdrawn from sale.

Coauthor Peter McLoughlin states:

“[T]his is the twenty-first century equivalent of the Nazis taking out the books from university libraries and burning them. Can you think of another scholarly book on Islam that has been banned by Amazon? Mein Kampf is for sale on Amazon. As are books like the terrorist manual called The Anarchist Cookbook.”

McLoughlin is correct that Amazon’s behavior has been wildly inconsistent. He adds that Amazon officials are steadfastly mum on why the book was banned:

“[They] refuse to reinstate the book and refuse to explain why it has been banned. So they have banned the No.1 best-selling exegesis of the Koran. I can’t get my head round it. Every few weeks for the past 18 months they had emailed me asking to put it into special sales programmes, as it was selling so well. For 18 months they sought to profit even more from the sales.”

“As dark as my vision is,” McLoughlin concludes, “I thought we were 10 to 20 years away from dissenting books from being banned.”

READER HOMEWORK! Has any of you bought this book on Kindle only to later discover it has been memory-holed? Ask around.

Raise your hand if you remember when Amazon deleted certain copies of 1984 from people’s Kindles, maybe ten years ago. Amazon never did appreciate the irony in that.

It isn’t only Robinson’s book. Amazon is busily banning unwoke books across the spectrum. They banned The Liberator Code Book: An Exercise in Freedom of Speech (pro-gun book), many self-published right-wingish novels, everything from manosphere author Roosh, “racist” books.

They also banned Jared Taylor’s If We Do Nothing (the link is to a Derb article which lists many other banned books). The rich and growing richer fund-raising organization SPLC is behind some of this.

Again, here’s your homework: have you bought any of these books on Kindle to find that they have subsequently disappeared?

Remember many years ago we talked about how you don’t own e-books, but only license them? Let’s see if that holds here. Put the word out: send this post to your friends and let’s see if our fears have been realized.

Item UK Women Promote ‘BirthStrike’ Baby Ban to Prevent ‘Eco-Armageddon’

Founder of BirthStrike, Blythe Pepino, said she was moved to create the now-60-member-strong community after reading publications from the United Nations’ (UN) climate change body left her feeling like the world had “no future”.

“I do have a partner and would like to have children with him. We’re really in love, and it feels like the right thing to do,” the 33-year-old disclosed.

“But last year I read the latest report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change [IPCC] and realised how wrong it would be to bring a child into a world on the brink of catastrophe. Now we are looking for [others] who feel the same way to join us.”

“It’s a very hard emotional message to decide not to have kids but I hope it might break through the fear and diffidence that surrounds this subject…we are talking about a major destructive event,” concluded Pepino, a singer who has previously spoken extensively to press outlets on her ‘polyamorous’ lifestyle and relationships.

Polyamorous lifestyle and relationships.

Item Bolsonaro Tee-Tees In Liberal Cornflakes

Jair Bolsonaro, the hard-right president of Brazil, has caused controversy by tweeting a short clip of a degenerate street scene at Rio’s Carnival. Here’s the tweet (warning: NSFW). It shows two male weirdos dancing on a balcony, one scantily clad in some sort of bondage gear. Bondage Boy bends over in front of the other, and the standing guy pulls out his weenis and urinates on the head of the Bondage Boy, who revels in it, and pretends to be washing his long hair.

The New York Times attempts a mild scolding of Bolsonaro for the tweet.

  1. 1. Never give up! Never surrender!

    2. Leftists burn books. It’s what they do before they get around to burning people.

    3. In order to save the future, they have to murder it in the womb.

    4. The degenerate is in the closet or in your face.

  2. Never complain; never explain.

This pithy little maxim was first coined by the British politician and prime minister Benjamin Disraeli, and adopted as a motto by many other high-ranking Brits — from members of royalty, to navy admirals, to fellow prime ministers Stanley Baldwin and Winston Churchill.

  3. “Amazon never did appreciate the irony in that.” There is no irony. It was a text to see how stupid we were. We passed with flying colors and continue to increase the stupid on a minute-by-minute basis.

Feminist said women and men are EQUAL. The complaints about men in women’s sports ARE ironic and I for one thinks it’s very, very funny when your stupidity bits you on the back side. (It also proves definitively they LIED about not decreasing standards to get women in as cops, firemen and the military, but we already knew that.)

As for the last little perverted tweet, the Progressives (aka Spawn of Satan) loved the “Golden Showers” fiction, so who is really surprised. Small children (which these people are) are always fascinated with bodily functions. It’s how you know who grew up and who stayed stupid, spoiled and at toddler stage. I’m surprised they aren’t wearing diapers and smearing feces—which toddlers do (or at least it hasn’t been tweeted—it’s on the Dark Web undoubtedly). Monkeys do it too but they don’t have diapers…..So, bratty toddler or wild animal, take your pick. These are as far from adult human as you can get.

  4. READER HOMEWORK! Has any of you bought this book on Kindle only to later discover it has been memory-holed? Ask around.

No idea, but this kind of thing is why I use Calibre (https://calibre-ebook.com) and download my Kindle books to my PC and transfer them that way. Always keep backups on your own machine (cloud services do not of course count) of anything you want to keep.

  5. While it may not help for long, the Dissenter browser extension by Gab may be of some benefit. You can at least leave notes on Amazon.com about how they’re removing books from their listings. May just be a small, “last act of defiance”, but that and the dark web may be where we end up.

The site you recommend sounds too good to be true. Ultimately more of the same. I’m one of the mugs who investigated and joined. Personally I wouldn’t trust any group or organisation that had no track record. Those with knowledge in matters internet and pc will have to be the first.

Apple system software warns that the site “may be trying to steal your data”.
To which there are lots of obvious replies.
The lies are indistinguishable from the truth when it comes to pixels on a screen.
Everybody is on the dark web. They just haven’t all noticed.

It’s gong to take more than wearing the right coloured hat.
    Or pretending.
Seems the ones who object to Humpty Dumpty have fallen for his oval charms. If it’s a spade, it’s a spade. If it’s a heart it’s a heart a diamond, a diamond, and the other one…
    In the best of worlds.
