Signed copies: update

The first batch of books has come in and I’ll very likely mail them out first thing tomorrow.

I had to order a second batch, so those who ordered books since Monday will have to wait a few more days. I expect to have the next set sometime over the weekend or early next week.

I also, just now, ordered a third batch in case anybody else wants one (I also gift some to various VIPs).

Thanks everybody!

  1. A topic which you might find it amusing to address. There is recently a trend in the UK to remove pedestrian barriers which separate cars from people in places like Oxford St London. The evidence is said to be that when you do this, accidents fall. Here is a link to one such story:

I admit to being sceptical, but without quite knowing why.

While we are at it, another report of a coincidence which one feels is less than fully established as causation:

Does this mean that global warming will reduce autism?

Take care, keep up the good work!

  2. Anon,

We hit the second article the other day in the article “TV…no, wait…rain causes autism.”

Your first one I have more sympathy with. Give people the illusion of safety and they tend to let their guard down. I don’t know if that’s true, but it is at least plausible.
