Insanity & Doom Update VIII

Item Director of Hollywood Bomb Blames Americans Rejecting ‘Science’ for Flop

…In an interview with The Frame on Thursday, Mother! Director Darren Aronofsky responded to the movie’s highly unusual F-grade Cinemascore this way: “… You have other people who basically believe in the power of a iPhone that they can communicate to 35 million people in a blink of an eye, yet they don’t believe in science in other ways.”

He continued, “It has as many people believe in it as believe in gravity. And it scares me and it’s time to start screaming. So I wanted to howl. And this was my howl. And some people are not going to want to listen to it. That’s cool.”

Recall this is the movie where a god feeds Mother’s baby to a ravenous crowd, among other indignities.

It takes nothing to “believe” in the ability of a cell phone to send messages, since the evidence is immediate and overwhelming. But it’s a better than good bet that not one in 1,000 can describe the science behind this marvel. And there hasn’t been anybody ever but hippies hopping about on their knees in the old Transcendental Meditation movement that disbelieved in gravity. It’s even fewer people (maybe) who can tell you how gravity works.

It’s not science people therefore believe in, but scientism. Aronofsky would have people believe in the god of his creation, as he tried to do with Noah.

Item Neo-nazo Rally Was Organized By Fbi Informant

A paid FBI informant was the man behind a neo-Nazi march through the streets of Parramore that stirred up anxiety in Orlando’s black community and fears of racial unrest that triggered a major police mobilization.

This is old, from 2007, but the FBI’s false flag still fascinates. They wouldn’t do it again, would they?

Item British Doctors Ordered To Ask Patients If They’re Gay

Every patient visiting their family doctor or attending a hospital appointment in England will be asked to declare if they are gay, straight or bisexual under controversial new rules imposed by the NHS…

‘It isn’t relevant to ask an 87-year-old grandmother if she has ever had a relationship with another woman. She would find that incredibly insulting and storm out. It would ruin the consultation.’

The project is being launched — without full public consultation — after at least seven years’ lobbying by the LGBT Foundation.

Because there is nothing more important than knowing everybody’s sexual desires. They now define us. What stunted imaginations we moderns have.

Item The Purge: Scott Yenor and the Witch Hunt at Boise State

Yenor is a mild-mannered, bald, bespectacled professor of political science at Boise State University…Yenor published a report in 2016 with the Heritage Foundation titled, Sex, Gender, and the Origins of the Culture War…That’s when the trouble began.

Leftist students took note of Yenor’s perspective. And they seethed…they complained, they demanded that the piece be taken down, and they insisted that Yenor had personally insulted them. All of this prompted the pusillanimous dean of the school, Corey Cook, to half-heartedly defend Yenor’s right to publish. But then Cook backtracked faster than Bobby Hull defending a breakaway…

…a knight arose to challenge Yenor’s nefarious, patriarchal dragon: Francisco Salinas, a man with the Orwellian title “Director of Student Diversity and Inclusion.”…he took up his fiery pen and wrote a post on the school’s website dramatically titled “Connecting The Dots.” Salinas explained that the Yenor controversy had preceded white supremacist rally and murder in Charlottesville, Virginia by a day. This was not, Salinas concluded, a coincidence. “Their proximity in my attention,” Salinas wrote, “is no accident.”…

[Salinas said,] “Not every person who agrees with Yenor’s piece is likely to become an espoused Neo-Nazi, but likely every Neo-Nazi would agree with the substance of Yenor’s piece…A flyer suddenly began appearing around campus, reading “YOU HAVE BLOOD ON YOUR HANDS SCOTT YENOR.” The faculty senate took up a measure that would initiate an investigation claiming that Yenor was guilty of some ethereal “misconduct.”

Cowardice and opportunism are the two characteristics of all these stories. That and the idiocy of filled-diapers who pass as students.

If you are in any large organization, in or out of government, and this nonsense happens to you, do not expect anybody in power to defend you. Saving their own skins, however temporarily, will be the best leaders will do. Even though Trump has shown that plain speaking and manly defense works.

After you are thrown under the bus by those who you thought were your friends, some evil opportunist like Salinas will arise to back the back the bus up and run you over again to ensure the kill.

And in a related story: “Dialogue is violence.”

  1. In a world where people on the internet who know nothing about you will call you a liar because you don’t fit their world view—they will insist you’re female or male, didn’t go to high school, you’re parents were of some race or gender, you’re a conservative to one, liberal to another, it should be apparent that the average IQ of Americans doesn’t exceed room temperature in a cold room. We are breed for stupidity, raised for stupidity and exploited by the overlords and we’re so dang proud of it. Just grinning like idiots……

  2. I should note this is NOT insanity. It’s a voluntary delusional state that, as noted, people are very, very proud of. Delusions and Doom would be a more appropriate title.

  3. I have sometimes wondered about the ferocity of the effort to normalize homosexuality. There is not just ‘enthusiasm’, there is careful, patient, long-term organization, deep infiltration of organizations, including seminaries (and by extension, the priesthood and the episcopate), and a LOT of money, particularly gay male money, behind this, as anyone can find out just by looking. All this, just to feel like you ‘fit in’? And then yesterday, blogger Dennis Dale suggested one more possibility: mass grooming. Unlike us, they know themselves. They know they will always want, and will always need, more souls.

A documentary about Hollywood’s boy problem, An Open Secret, is being shared on Vimeo because it can’t get a distributor, and it’s not hard to see why. It isn’t just that powerful people in Hollywood are threatened. The Narrative itself is threatened.

It’s difficult not to see [a show referenced by the documentary called “Chad’s World”] and [the now-defunct “Digital Entertainment Network”], indeed the whole gay rights movement, as a sort of mass grooming operation.

  4. Sheri —

You want to be fully understood and appreciated during internet discussions (not that discussions is the appropriate description of all those interactions), yet you hide behind a pseudonym.

Why wouldn’t someone make assumptions about you in order to understand (or, even, obfuscate) your views, filling in the dots, so to speak?

And I do not understand how YOU can be offended. Possibly, in an abstract view, your AVATAR can claim offence, but never you.

It’s like putting your teddy bear in the safe space room and then feeling offended because it got trampled under feet escaping a Shakespeare reading. The teddy bear was never you.

It is delusional to take offense to an attack on your abstract self.

  5. These people seemingly can’t tell the difference between science and engineering. I believe engineers get truly pissed of about this.

  6. It seems that one of the hardest things for a human to do is to accept responsibility for our lot in life. True, opportunity is not equally distributed, but the measure of us as humans is how we deal with what comes our way, and what we make of it. Happiness comes from overcoming difficult challenges through our own efforts, and continued happiness requires a steady stream of new challenges.

Our teenage years, and beyond, for some of us, are characterized by a rebellion against this life truth, vainly searching for another path to happiness, typically through some notion of “fairness”. “Unfairness” is just another way of shifting responsibility elsewhere, and tilting at the unfairness dragon is an addictive distraction, delaying maturity.

It’s certainly understandable that college students would hold onto their childish ways, especially as modern society increasingly shelters them from adult responsibility. But what’s with the adults in the room?

One of the worst injustices one human can perpetrate on another is to ‘helpfully’ give them an excuse to fail. The evil, nasty, life-destroying bigotry of low expectations.

  7. Crabtrees bludgeon.

Crabtree’s bludgeon is an observation which serves as a foil to Occam’s razor, characterising a very different cognitive process exhibited in certain kinds of people, which states:
”No set of mutually inconsistent observations can exist for which some human intellect cannot conceive a coherent explanation, however complicated.”

    https://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Occam's_razor

We all know this in our bones. Most people , anyway.

When attacked by irrationality on the internet just send this back because irrational folk can’t understand rational explanations. It is all purpose. One day it may get through the defences and lighten their burden of worry … they are all so worried and concerned and appalled etc. by all aspects of modern life.

from the land of utter irrationality New Zealand.

  8. Progressives are inherently irrational, as they must simultaneously hold numerous contrary opinions. This is a cult religion, where rational thought is anathematized. This is why they can tolerate no dissent, no opposition. They are on a holy mission from not-God, and all witches, heretics, and heathens must be silenced or burned.

An excellent summary of their “thought” and attack patterns, along with effective counters, can be found on Amazon as the “SJWs always …” series by Vox Day. (This is not a paid endorsement.)

  9. @ JohnK

“I have sometimes wondered about the ferocity of the effort to normalize homosexuality.”

Homosexuality *is* normal. It’s been around for as long as there have been people, and actually before, as it’s been observed in hundreds of animal species. It’s only in the relatively recent past (2,000 years out of 100,000?) that the Abrahamic religions have poisoned society with their arbitrary labelling of normal and harmless behaviours as ‘sin’.

“All this, just to feel like you ‘fit in’?”

Also to avoid imprisonment, torture, or being thrown off a tall building head-first.

  10. Murder *is* normal. It’s been around for as long as there have been people, and actually before, as inter-species killing been observed in hundreds of animal species. It’s only in the relatively recent past (2,000 years out of 100,000?) that the Abrahamic religions have poisoned society with their arbitrary labelling of normal and harmless behaviours as ‘sin’.

  11. Item British Dr’s ordered to ask patients if they’re gay?

Knowing how these type of things work, i.e.e they don’t, this will be ignored just as the boxes we’ve had for years asking about race and creed. People don’t fill in the section because they just refuse. The GP’s will put it upon the forms and not ‘ask’. They are way to busy to bother with this kind of thing.

Try one patient every seven minutes for GP’s One every ten in places. Start to finish. Not enough time to have a row. For me? One every half an hour but as a junior one every twenty minutes. Back to back. No thinking time in between. That includes note writing and box ticking.
The accuracy of statistics is proportional to the business and the diligence of the filler in. Stats come last. Patients come first, gay or not. Get the patients to do the work, that’s what they’ll do.

  12. @ Briggs,

    “Murder *is* normal […]”

@ JohnK was complaining about homosexuality being “normalized”, I pointed out that it already is ‘normal’. Your observation that there are things that are normal but undesireable, such as murder, doesn’t invalidate my point.
