Help! WordPress won’t show other pages

UPDATE: All seems well again. Thanks to everybody for their help!

I have been having a hell of a time trying to upgrade.

Everything now seems OK, except that I can’t see my other pages (Resume, Services, etc.). I can see them in the database and on the wp-admin Manage -> Pages. But they don’t show up on screen.

I tried creating a new page called “Test” and that doesn’t show either.

If you go directly to https://www.wmbriggs.com/blog/resume/ then you can see the resume page, but it doesn’t show on the top row of tags.

I have double-checked the database privileges and all seems well there.

Anybody have any ideas?

Don’t forget to do a statistical analysis of the test and then get a consensus result for the rest of us to follow blindly.

  4. Well, you just edit the header.php file in theme. WordPress lets you do it from presentation>>theme editor, but it’s also in wp-content/themes/theme-name

The theme usually does it automatically, but you can do it by hand if you can’t figure it out.

Dunno if you already knew all this. Trying to help.

  5. How about wordpress.com? Having your blog hosted there would make you less flexible in some aspects (plugins, templates) but you would never have to update software again.

  6. It takes some patient searching but all questions are answered somewhere in the WP Forums. It may not be the problem, but changing themes with your upgrade is usually a good idea and artistically satisfying, too.

btw, I’m a widget guy myself.

    Mike,

You’re a sweetheart. I didn’t even think of that. But it obviously worked.

I wish I had more time to spend with this!

  8. Very nice. Austere yet deep. Form meets function. Almost Zen. That must be your bookshelf, right?

Mike, Yes, that picture is my attempt at Art. I expect to become famous any minute.
